ACCOMMODATIONS
Each Select Wine Journey includes accommodation in the 18th century Manoir du Grand Echeneau.

The Manoir was built in 1720 by a courtier of Louis XV, a distant relative of the current owners, Didier and Sylvie Baudard. Designated a French Classical Monument, the earliest rooms of the Manoir date back to the 1500s, when it was a farming estate.

The grounds of the Manoir span five acres, and feature rose gardens, a tree lined entrance way, massive cedars of Lebanon, and beautiful cyclamen in the autumn. The grounds have remarkable troglodyte caves available to tour. The Manoir also has a pool (heated when necessary).

Originally associated with the 800-year-old Marmoutier Abbey nearby, the caves have been in use for centuries by local residents and monks, as their homes, shelters, and places of worship.

The Manoir offers five bedrooms, each with its own en-suite. All rooms are equipped with modern amenities.
Owners Didier and Sylvie delight in sharing their home and family history with guests, and often join us for a glass of wine on the patio or by the pool. The Manoir is a wonderful home-base to relax between daily adventures!
